In order to promote sustainable practices and reduce our carbon footprint, it is important that we use printers in an environmentally responsible manner. The following guidelines have been developed to help employees use printers in a sustainable way.

Guidelines:

  • Only print what is necessary: Before printing, consider if it is truly necessary and if the information can be shared or stored electronically instead.
  • Use double-sided printing: Double-sided printing reduces paper usage and saves resources.
  • Print in draft mode: If the document is not for a formal presentation, consider printing in draft mode, which uses less ink and reduces environmental impact.

  • Keep printer maintenance up-to-date: Regular maintenance of printers, including cleaning and updating software, can improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Report any printing issues: Report any issues with printers, such as jams or low ink levels, promptly to the IT department to avoid unnecessary waste.
