2022 turned out to be an excellent year for Greek tourism!
- Overall, international arrivals at Athens International Airport during the year 2022 (Jan-Aug) reached 82% of 2019.
- According to the data of the Bank of Greece, tourist receipts this year exceeded those of 2019.
What we did in 2022
- We increased our network in Athens with the addition of 13 new hotels, with a total of 831 beds
- Our publications Athens Guide, Athens Map, Athens by Metro & Tram Map, Food & Drink Athens Map, Riviera Athens Map were distributed in 187 hotels in Athens, and in 35 hotels in Rhodes the Rhodes Map, with a total of 1.1 million readers.
- We distributed the brochures of 23 companies available in the hotels of our network in Athens.
Our program for 2023
Although it is early to make predictions, all the indications we have for 2023 point to the conclusion that it will be another great year for tourism.
In a recent Booking.com survey of 2023 travel trends, 73% of participants said
they feel much better about traveling in 2023 than last year. In fact, after the travel restrictions in 2020 and 2021, many were able to save money that they would have otherwise spent on vacation. As a result,
half (49%) will make up for it by spending more during 2023, while
43% plan to enjoy the money to maximize their experience.
A third (33%) revealed that they enjoy shopping on holiday
for things not available at home.

Info Stands are placed inside hotels and Airbnbs, and tourists on their own initiative choose the brochures that interest them
In exclusive cooperation with hotels, Marinas, Museums, Airbnbs, in 188 venues in Athens and 171 others throughout Greece, stands have been placed which host brochueres together with our permanent publications (Μaps & Guides).
In 2022, 1 million tourists took brochures from the Info Stands. For 2023, we have planned the publication of 830 thousand publications and we estimate that the readers of these publications will exceed 1.6 million tourists.
