Job Function  

We are looking for a Digital Manager to join the marketing team supporting our City Contact products and services. This position would manage the content and editorial calendar of the Athens Guide, Athens Map, Athens Walking Tours etc including the websites, emails, blogs, and social media accounts.

The Digital Manager is focused on supporting the redeployment of our e-Business and Digital Marketing program. The position will be responsible for all content and analytics related to our digital program, including product, content, search, marketing campaign, customer, and user experience. This is a leadership role expected to contribute to the development of KPI’s and recommendations to support growth of our digital program and City Contact’s overall marketing strategy. The ideal candidate will be experienced in all aspects of digital marketing and user experience and highly fluent in digital analytics.

Responsibilities  
  • Create, implement and manage the digital content strategy
  • Create and update the digital content & editorial calendar
  • Act as editor-in-chief of the various blogs, proofreading content and assuring brand alignment. Create and write blog posts when needed
  • Coordinate with social media team members and agency to integrate social media content into the editorial calendar.
  • Monitor specific social media networks to identify market trends and opportunities to positively impact City Contact’ business and overall web presence. Develop social media reporting and communicate regularly with key stakeholders.
  • Work with external content partners and internal resources to create new blog posts, videos, and infographics.
  • Manage the content approval process with internal stakeholders and legal
  • Manage the calendar and plan for promotional features on the websites 
  • Manage and maintain YouTube channels
  • Responsible for the management of search engine optimization, content optimization, on-site search and Analysis and Reporting.
  • Recommend best practices for search engine optimization, including content and tagging recommendations to content team and site changes to technical team. 
  • Manage the Adwords plan and process 
  • Oversee all aspects of analytics and reporting, including identifying the correct KPI’s to track and report while monitoring the ROI for digital campaigns.
  • Create and maintain regular reports for the business with clear analysis to guide editorial, product development and commercial decision making.
  • Analyze various click-stream and conversion funnel data to support recommendations to increase the performance of the digital marketing campaign tactics and optimize the customer’s digital experience.
  • Provide competitive insight and analysis
  • Other duties as necessary
Skills/Experience  
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, History, or similar field
  • 2-5 years marketing and content creation experience
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with strong project management skills
  • Strong communication skills, including writing, speaking and presenting
  • Able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Confident in coordinating internal and outside production teams
  • Superior knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and the ability to hate exclamation points.
  • Familiarity with web technologies & working on web projects
  • Experience with social media, including best practices, for a business or brand
  • Understanding of technology marketing and wireless/mobile technology
  • Willingness to learn and interest in problem-solving
  • Working knowledge of search engine optimization and search engine marketing activities
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Adwords, and other tools or similar packages. Google Certification preferred.
  • Experience with various content management systems 
  • Experience with email management services (ConstantContact, Mail Chimp, etc…)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and Power Point.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
